can anyone help me, i am trying to encode a xvid.avi file to dvd, i have tried using virtualdub and trying to extract the audio in ac3 format as described in the tutorial but it didnt work, so i used nero to encode the avi file and burn it all in one go the only problem i encountered was the sound was way out of sync, so i used tmpeg to encode the file and audio together and then used tmpeg dvd authoring tool but when i try to burn it to disc nero says "focus error" and fails to burn and ruins another disc, i am running out of blank discs so please help

Have you tried DVDSanta? Quite reliable.

Connection problems, here I go again:
If you can encode with DVDSanta, why not use it for the encoding, but Nero for the burning? I use this combination 'cos Nero handles burning much better.
