    I do not know if this would help, but try using dvd shrink or dvd decrypter softwares and if you have a dvd burner, you should be able to burn on dvd r/rw media

    You're most likely missing a codec. Run the file through GSpot and it'll tell you if you have the codec and if not which one you need :)

    first would recamend trying to play a vcd instead of dvd because of the price factor

    but if your determined to burn a dvd frist do a check list

    dvd burner +/- r

    i found that i dont have good luck finding dvd players that play dvd-r's
    most new dvd players support either now

    second you need to get tmgenc dvd aurthoring program
    alot of trial ones out there
    future install then get back in your time machine and come back to present after installing it

    roxio video wave is much better but it not free

    after using tmpgenc dvd aurthoring tool
    ````if you already were using the dvd aurthoring tool then you are probably trying to convert an xvid avi file
    if this is the case the you need to run the xvid avi file through a little program called decompressor to fix the vbr problem
    found it on this forum
    email me poormasdvd yahoo for a free copy
    mind you i dont check it every day or even every week
    i will get back to you eventually
    ok now we get dvd aurthoring tool
    decompressor for those tough xvids better quality smaller file size worth every problem
    now you need a dvd builder!
    i havent found a free one yet so i spent the $50 and bought one off of ebay worth every penny
    but if you search long enough im sure you can find a free dvd building program on direct connect or dc++
    prehaphs even on afterdawn
    then you run thr dvd builder and burn
    now this is why i perfer vcd's
    price is the first reason
    quality is pretty much the same depending on your dvd player
    a $150.00 dvd player has better picture than the walmart $39.00
    but any apex dvd player will play any vcd
    run xvids throught the decompressor tool
    convert to mpg vcd not super vcd quality isnt much better to me anyway
    after converted just burn using any video burning program you might have me personally i use nti 2000
    pro
    search kazaa for a file called dvd.2.avi.2.mpg.2.vcd
    its a package of tools that you will be very thank full to have
    auto gordonknot
    tells how to rip a dvd to avi
    and set every thing up for you
    dvd decryptor actually what it says
    avisynth'
    and a bunch more kazza hard for it
    if you cannt find it there
    find direct connect 2.25
    or 2.20
    anf find flakes weed house look for [utb]poormansdvd and ask him for it
    I hate to mention this fact on my very first post, but aren't those email addies in your sig? (And one of them is [bold]also[/bold] pointing to afterdawn.com, just like tmpgenc's)
    amaze those are links to web sites, notice they don't have the @ sign like an email adress.
    It was an addy minus the @.
    Now if it's alright with you I'll get back to my moderating duties.
