    This seems to be a common problem as I have read this forum and others.. however, I seem to have run into a wall...

    it seems http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/514278 is the same problem i have

    Problem: I downloaded a song via limewire, and I never could open it, and sure enough it ended up being a .jpg with a super long name (porn-related).... file is saved on the desktop

    I can't open, move, rename, delete this file. I NEED IT DELETED

    Solution(s):

    I have tried:
    -Deleting in command prompt (short name)
    -Deleting in safe mode
    -I ran 4 different virus scans
    -I did a system restore, originally for 6 hours, then for 24 hours
    -I downloaded hijack this, ccleaner .. both said the file type is invalid
    -I was able to open the file in jasc photo.. but I couldn't view it or anything because it said the file was "locked".. i clicked unlcok... didn't work
    -I copied everything i needed from my desktop into my documents (except the file).. then tried to delete the folder "desktop".. i couldn't because windows said that wasn't allowed to be deleted, it needs to be on the computer or something like that

    So... I am up for pretty much any type of advice...

    I also just tried to create a new file (i did a word doc) with the same title, so it would overwrite it... that didn't work because it wouldn't let me save the file because the file name was too long....
