Ok, I'll admit I don't know the first thing about HD. I'd appreciate it if someone could help answer a few questions I have.

I have an HD compatible tv. However, I only have basic cable....

-Am I able to get HD stations without having digital cable?

-Do I need an HD tuner, reveiver and an antenna to convert my basic into digital?

    Thanks folks!

Only way you can get HD channels over the air is if you have a built in HD tuner.

To get HD channels you will need to call your cable company and subscribe to HD service. They will then bring out an HD set top box which will allow you to receive any HD channels they offer.
