http://secure.newegg.com/NewVersion/wishlist/PublicWishDetail.asp?WishListNumber=6860406 This computer build should be able to run crysis and should last me a while. I am about to go buy these parts, are there any last minute changes or additions I should make? Thanks for the help in previous post.
It should be a really nice PC. But how well do you want to be able to play Crysis? That system should run most things extremely well, but Crysis is a different story. If you want Crysis to run better I would go with the 8800 GTX instead of the GTS, but thats just from what I've heard about people building systems specifically for Crysis. Edit: I hear that Crysis will also take any amount of ram you throw at it. But it all depends on how high you want your settings to be and how much you want to spend.
GTX is too expensive for me, but I want to be able to run it pretty high. I'm not sure about max settings.
Also, that mobo that you have picked out only supports ddr3 ram, and the ram you picked is ddr2, so you will either have to change the mobo or ram. There is a PK5 ddr2 version of that mobo here though: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131182
I'm sure I've replied to a thread identical to this. I recommended a Corsair 520W PSU instead of the OCZ and a Thermalright cooler. Either I've forgotten or it never appeared.
