I posted my questions while you were posting the fix. I will run FRST again. But before I do....WHAT do i do with the fix list? Do I drop inside of FRST or just download them both inside the same file? My genius brain is elementary right now, sorry. Also, do I stop all protection as in Norton, etc? And sometimes I am not certain how to tell if everything is completely off as I didn't realize what all was running (malware, antivirus, real time protection, etc).
Now if you aren't confused I am beyond impressed!

Just going by what I have found so far, I doubt it.. After we get this computer cleaned, we can check everything.

You don't need to stop protection for FRST..

I'm sorry. I ran it and it said the log would be saved in the same folder but I can't locate it. I'll start again.

Are you having brain farts, grasshopper? LOL

Let's just start over..... If you have any fixlist.txt, fixlog.txt, frst.txt or addition.txt on the desktop next to FRST.exe just delete them, don't delete FRST.exe.. Then follow the instructions and download fixlist attached here next to FRST.exe then press the fix button then attach the Fixlog.txt that has been changed from the fixlist.txt to your next post.....

Fix with Farbar Recovery Scan Tool

Download attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop:

Both files, FRST and fixlist.txt have to be in the same location (on the desktop) or the fix will not work!

    • Right-click on FRST icon and select Run as Administrator to start the tool.
    • Press the Fix button just once and wait.
    • If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
    • When finished FRST will generate a log on the Desktop, called Fixlog.txt.
Attach the Fixlog.txt to your next post.

    Hang in there :p

I am on bended knee hoping I did this right. I don't know about your age friend, but I will say for me at... 60 plus years and one stroke ... I am a walking miracle. My testament to AfterDawn is mighty. When I was wheelchair bound and learning old things again... I sat in front of my computer and started learning new things, like how to build a movie, DVD, etc. I found you guys and voila...you carried me around and taught me like I was important. You will never know what a blessing your site, you folks have been to me. Sidenote: I turned one of my grandsons on to AfterDawn and noticed he just logged in under me, LOL... so the help you rendered, before the mess we are currently working on, I thank you for on behalf of my grandson.
On that note... attached is what I HOPE you need.

    Hey, grasshopper, I'm baaaaack....
How is your computer doing now?
Are you using IE or Firefox? I prefer Firefox. You have Norton & I don't like Norton. I removed Ask.com search from IE, it's spyware & adware, Norton put it right back..... Everything else looks good so, tell me if you're having any problems?
Give me a full report...... o_O

    2oldGeek ( that's 2 not "too", old with a little "o" and Geek with a capital "G" )

Welcome back. Hope all is well. My computer seems to running good but I wonder... how would I know if my browser were hijacked? So... how about I dump Norton, buy Avast, download Firefox and dump IE?
