i'm having problems with the second step. it says click and enter a file name. i can't find the file name to began the burning stage. i'm doing the iso read and then the iso write. and also it says i don't have enough space on my disc how do i change that also.
where did you send the file? normally its on your local disc not enough space on disc means there is not enough space on your blank. you need to compress it first..use dvd shrink.
i normally use shrink to rip the dvd then burn with decrypter. you can rip with decrypter if you like, but then you will have to shrink it,then burn it. try shrinking it first, then burn with decrypter. you can either burn with nero or decrypter,i prefer decrypter myself. to do this open up dvd shrink EDIT>PREFERENCES>FILE I/O>UNTICK THE BOX WHERE IT SAYS BURN WITH NERO. this will turn off the default burning option of nero and allow you to use decrypter as a burning option.
okay i found my the file the movie is on, but now it won't let me open the file, why can't i open the file so i can burn on dvd shrink.
jim dandy...i think he has already ripped it with decrypter.he is not reading from a disc.why cant you use the open file button.? with regards hursty
yes you are right,my mistake. why cant you open the file through the open file button, surely it leads to the same place.?
Because open file mode isnt the same thing, open files, is for vob files, ripped by dvd decrypter(in file mode), or whatever else there is out there to rip with. The file, is for iso images. You can open files, in the file mode, but you cant open iso's, in the open file mode.
i am learning more...thanks so can you rip a movie in file mode, with decrypter? but will decrypter burn it?
Hi hursty No,dvd decrypter wont burn in the file mode, unless the new dvd decrypter changed that, with there latest version, you cant.I havent tried burning in the file mode with the new version.. circa, jan 5,2005 So if you can..then tell me LOL yanno what they say, teaching,is a learning experience. LOL
still not 100% up to scratch with the different file modes, i think shrink is a little mis-leading,i mean, you can access and open a disc using "open files",but you cant open the audio folder, i have just tried opening a dvd through the file button, clicked backup, and it started,.....it didnt start to analize it though.
Shrink is just a DVD-Video program. DVD-Video requires that the files all be in VIDEO_TS so what would you do with the other folder anyway?
i dont know..thats why i am asking, dvd is relatively new to me,i am trying to find out what the different types of software are capapble. with regards hursty
