I Was wondering if its possible to install a new hard drive into an un-modded xbox without the old hard drive. I saw a few of the guides here, and what I understand is that you need the hard drive password and things like that. All the guides I have read say that you need to back up the c and e partition, but I do not have the old hard drive, so I can't back it up. Is it possible to put a new hard drive in?

You need the eeprom. Your only hope now is an eeprom reader or modchip! eeprom reader is best because you can re-use it!

After I do the eeprom thing, do I find the xbox files online, put it on a harddrive and pop it in, or what?

You'll need a clean 5960 MsDash, Xboxhdm v1.9 and your eeprom. Do a search on how to use xboxhdm
