I believe they will be slashing the price by about $100 on the E6600, get that instead. The E6700 i think will be slashed down to ~$320 dollars.

yes mate it is.

i paid £108 for my 4300 a few weeks back, i might of waited for that if i had known it was going to be that cheap.

 

yeah, and with the right equipment you can overclock the E6400 easily to run at 2.4GHz (move frontside bus from 266 to 300 in motherboard BIOS) and save your money on the E6600.
2.4GHz per core is really plenty to run any program or game you want.
