internet problem???????????????????????????????

    hi, it's window me whenever i double click on the internet icon it doesnt go, it just the busy icon next to the cursor and nothing happened. plz help anyone......

    Is your PC running slow - does it happen on any other programs such as Outlook ?

    Can you reach the Internet from Windows Explorer ? Open Windows Explorer and where it says C Drive - the address bar - type http://www.google.com and see if it goes there ?

    Have you checked for viruses, trojans Spyware etc - Spybot http://www.filemirrors.com/search.src?file=spybotsd13.exe&size=4354084 & Spywareblaster http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

    I have had such a problem in the past and ended up unistalling IE then reinstalling it - Not an easy job.

    I await your response - guess you're not contacting this site from the PC that can't get on the internet!?

    Do you have a program called HistoryKill installed.
    I know at times when it running, IE wont open.
