Hi there, i have a problem with my drive, i can play dvd's and cd's but i cant seem to read dvd's to rip. Its all started since i did an overburn disc for my daughter, could this be the problem? i have tried a firmware update, and still no luck. i also cannot burn lightscribe labels anymore. if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.
Most likely the laser is dieing. LG drives are not well commended for their ripping capabilities. Try cleaning it with a laser cleaning disk. ~Ripper.
ok ill try, thankyou, but im a bit miffed as this drive is only a month old lol, so another one bites the dust
