I am trying to make a backup of Lion King 1 1/2. DVD Decrypter can't find the file and Shrink locks up trying to find files to preview. If anyone has success please let me know.

    Thanks

i just did it using dvd shrink and nero.
    looks and sounds great!

i guess you need to give out some more info.

did you play the disc before ripping,i didnt have to, but maybe you wanna try that.
otherwise anything that can help the pros in here, including os,what are your system specs,i have xp home with 512mb of ram,i was told thats barely enough ram, so if you dont have at least that much, that may be your problem.
if that doesnt work, maybe your problem is as simple as a reboot.

im just a newbie like yourself, but i was able to back up lion king 1 1/2,so its not impossible.

    great movie by the way

    good luck to ya

Thanks for the help and information.
After finding out you were able to do it. I tried and did disk 2 first and for some reason after that it was able to preview and copy disk 1, weird.

I backed up Lion King 1 1/2 with Shrink and Nero. It all woked fine except I get a small movie camera symbol and 1/2 appearing in the top right corner of screen. It appears on screen every 10 minutes or so. I notice it only happens when I view on TV using DVD player. It does not happen when I play on PC. Anyone seen this before.

    Thanks. Des

Heard it might be this: "It's a mutliangle indicator.
You are viewing angle 1 of 2. Not all of the movie has multiangles so it only appears when the option is available.
You can almost certainly turn it off from the setup screen of the player"

So I will give this a try.

I'd suggest either updating to WinXP (the [bold]Daddy[/bold] of O/S) or perhaps getting a copy of Win98SE ... as both are easily better.
WinME has to be the worst Operating System EVER !!!

I use W2K ..so it's not the operating system. Also ..when the (angle indicator) shows up in movie (Lion King 1.5) I can click on angle button on remote and change to another angle. However, I can't seem to prevent the "indicator" from appearing on the screen while watching the movie. Just an annoyance more than anything. I'm not sure if I screwed something up when I copied as this movie has multi angles.

I wasn't talking to you airliner , as the quote wasn't from you.

kawasaki2 is one of many users , besides YOU

If using DVD2One as compression app instead , then you can make sure of taking only Angle 1 (that is in reply to you airliner)
