Looking for a cheap DVD player in the UK

    Just had a baby boy 12 days ago so it's been a bit hectic, am getting one as soon as I get chance to get to ASDA.

    Hi, just a quickee Apex dvd plays are sold in Currys, for £33.something....

    When I looked up Apex players there were 46 of them , so model no. might be nice tystar !!
    Plus have you got one , does it play +R aswell as -R ... and RW of both formats ??

    Also try the pacific 1001... it`s under £30 now, and will play everything..

    it`s region free out of the box, only down side is there`s no display..

    the new version (not sure what`s new inside) has a black&silver remote with better layout, and better menu screens)

    Well finally got round to buying the Pacific 1002w and what a player !!

    Thanks very much for the tips lads, can't beleive it only costs £39.97 and plays all my discs.

    Can't even hear the thing playing the discs so I am well chuffed :)

    Cheers Dene, finally got myself over to ASDA and bought it, glad I did. Looks a nice player aswell which is a bonus.

    If you use Ritek G04 DVD-R blank media to back up movies (to be played on Pacific 1002) ... you should not have any problems with skipping/freezing towards the outer edge of disc [worth baring in mind].

    So as long as you use any disc with Ritek G04 then your ok ??
