some1 plz tell me what all of those are. im getting stressed out cos no1 will tell me!
M3 Adapters are the mod cartridges that make everything happen. Slot-1 is the DS Game Slot and Slot-2 is the GBA Game Slot. More info on these at http://www.m3adapter.com/
Passcards (The right information here provided by Mr. Hankey)
The Passcard is only for things NDS related (it forces the DS to load in NDS mode, even though it is running the software from the GBA slot.
The M3 (Slot-2) can run GBA games and GBA homebrew without a passcard, just not NDS games or NDS homebrew
When you play a GBA game on the DS the DS shuts off all uneeded hardware such as the touch system, the microphone, one of the processors, one of the screens etc. The Passcard makes sure that the DS does not do this when using the M3 otherwise NDS code would not work.

Come in a variety of sizes (Mini, Micro, Regular) and some with adapters. These are used with M3 Adapters (some adapters only take one kind of card!) as the external memory you write all your files to. You just insert the card into the M3 and roll. Check out this link and click on the different SD card options that are at the left http://meritline.stores.yahoo.net/pqi-minisd-card-2gb.html
Just turns one size card into another with an adapter.
The way you write data to your SD Cards. You plug it into this device to turn it into a plug and play usb, then do your work from there.

There are millions of homebrew programs out there for the DS, I haven't tried any of them out yet. You just download them and use them.
Mr. Hankey wrote up an excellent M3 Adapter guide you can look into also.
