I have a IBOOK G4 (MAC) and I'm trying to connect to my roomates wireless internet connection. She has a Toshiba Notebook (Windows), When I go to connect to her wireless connection it picks it up but a window pops up with:
    WEP Password
    Password : __________
Her wireless router does not have a password, so we have no idea what we need there. She uses a LinkSys wireless router.

IF YOU CAN HELP PLEASE THANK YOU....

im sorry to say the wep key is the wireless passcode inorder for the router to connect to the device once this is enabled you cannot turn it off unless you know the user name and password for the router

this is why you do not purchase used routers because not only do you not know how to connect it but without the passwords you are totally out of luck

you could always reset the router. they uesally have a reset button on the back that puts everything to factory defaults.
