    Hi all

Sorry if i have posted this in the wrong board.

After much confusion i finally managed to burn my bin/cab file to disk but as i installed it (its a game) i reach 91% (so close!) and then i get this error:

    Component Transfer Error
    Component - Program Files
    File Group - Data Files
    File - D:/data2.cab
Error - Data Error (Cyclic Redundancy Error)

Im not sure what this means exactly, are the cab files missing, have i not burned it properly...or is it something else altogether?

Im new to all this so please try to explain as simple as possible!

    Thanks for any help :)

I had the same CRC error with a downloaded version of Project Snowblind when installing.

So I downloaded from another source, burned the images
and tried installing it from my DVD-rw drive, now myPC crashed.

Tried installing from my DVD-r drive and bingo, it worked.

So, I'd hazzard to guess you may have a bad file and try to get it from another source
