I'm a mix tape dj and i need some information on software. When I make my music it'S all continuous, no spaces. ALL of my songs i mix and blend them, so what software allows me to input my own track numbers or id with placing a space?

When I need to do that type of stuff I use Audacity. Its freeware (open-source)and comes loaded with tools but is still easy to use for "newbies" like me, So you should have no problem (being a mix tape dj ad all).

    the Audacity site is: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

To export Mp3's using Audacity you will need to download the LAME 3.96.1 (stable) codec from cd-rw.org (here): http://www.cd-rw.org/software/audio_software/audio_encoders/lame_mp3_encoder.cfm

This is because the Audacity team is apart of the open-source community and doesn't develope codec lybraries on there own. Audacity Also lets you export Wav (.wav) and Ogg Vorbis (.ogg) files.

If you have any questions about Audacity and getting the Mp3 feature to work let me know (its easy!).

    Hope this helps you,
    Ced
