So only the forthcoming Starview box will be suitable ?
The Starview 2 is only compatible with Chorus cable I take it so.

Fano apologies for the earlier misleading answer. Yes it is comptabile with true cable on C*****. The MMDS version of this box will be out in five weeks, which will have a DVB-T tuner.

Quick question about these starview2 boxes.
Will they need codes constantly like the original starview.
I have lots of friends who have them and need codes every couple of days.
Are the starview 2 and dreambox 500t the only boxes that will work on Chorus MMDS?
    Cheers.

You need a device with dvb-t tuner for chorus mmds.
Dream 500-t, dream 600 with dvb-t tuner, dream 7025 with dvb-t tuner or dvb-t usb stick with bda drivers.
The anounced starview for dvb-t nobody ever saw till yet.

I hope someone can help me , in some areas of dublin N@l use mmds , there is a small black box which looks like a power supply attached to the incoming cable from the mmds aerial inside the house and then to the decoder ie it it has aerial in and tv out , this box has to be plugged into the mains , can anybody tell me if this is just a power supply or is it the downconverter , i looking to source one on the net are they available and if so where might i get one .

    Thanks

The black box is the power inserter for the downconverter at the aerial.
The device should have 12v to 18v 200ma.

I was recently informed that Chorus no longer collect or disconnect any equipment from cancelled accounts.
Anyone know if this is correct ?
