Hello. I read the topic "Mobile PhoneTools v3.0 US" and this problem was mentioned (by cmacliam), but was never payed much attention to, so here is a dedicated topic.

I have a BT3030 Bluetooth dongle. It was packaged and sold by Blue-Gene (http://blue-gene.com/), but I know it goes under some other names. It looks like this:

After a battle with the provided WIDCOMM software and it's lack of support for XP SP2, I finally got it to work with the software.

My problem here is trying to hook it up with mobile PhoneTools 3.19e1. Whenever I try to add my phone, a Motorola v551, it detects it, and right after I enter the 4-digit PIN number, it says it was Verified on the phone, but on the computer, it says "Comm port Installation failed".

    Any suggestions?

i have the very same problem and the very same dongle.

i will now try to uninstall all existing blue tooth software and then reinstall the motorola blue tooth drivers.

    fingers crossed!
