    you don't want the view sonic for gaming. The Sceptre has a faster response time (2ms) and a higher contrast ratio (4000:1) both good for gaming. The comments say the only thing you need to remember when you first get the Sceptre is to enable DCR (Dynamic Contrast)

    I'd go with the Viewsonic. They're exceptionally high quality units. You'll never notice the slower response time (I use an 11ms monitor and have no problems whatsoever) and even though the contrast ratio on the Viewsonic is lower, for most applications that too isn't much different.
    Sceptre monitors, whilst good, are not quite cutting-edge from the build quality standpoint.
