movie file, can it be edited?

want to remove the tmd ads in the movie, is this possible?

 

I too would like info on how to do this and what to use if possible to remove, I have several downloaded movies with verious logos and timers embedded in the widescreen portion of the movie, since they are stagnant images they could cause problems with my projector. Thanks
