uninstall that SlimWare Utilities Inc. program as not needed & probably not working now as 1 of it's files has been quarantined.

What is slimwares? Not installed intentionally
and the apk's aren't "paid" apps, I just do it because my son has a Kindle Fire HD (no Google Play Store) and I don't like Amazon's store half as much. I'm all about Samsung and Android, Circle/Slash Apple and Amazon. I will say I'll never DL from APK Pure again, looks like 80% came from that site

Question, I noticed the AV didn't delete those apps, if not in use, must I still delete them one-by-one, still infecting me sitting in my docs folder? Thanks
I do find it odd that I only see freeze-ups when I open multiple IE windows, but not running an IE and an AOL window

Bin IE could be plugins that's causing issue, use Firefox or chrome instead with a good and blocker installed (ublock) if you need apks use apkpure.com they have an alternative play store you can install on your tablet, I've never had issues with their apps.

Hey my friend, lets get back to this if you're willing. Only a 2nd window needs to be open, and now it's hesitating to respond to my typing this post (slow to respond to keyboard, but it's intermittent) I ran a SMART, came back clean, this must be virus related...

Too many possibilities, I'd personally back up important files and carry out a fresh install. Gonna be quicker than tracking down the culprits(s)

I will try, but I don't think I have more than 2 or 3 plugins, oh, and here's irony for you, my virus scan returned a handful of viruses, all from APK Pure (also my fave for apk's)?

False positives maybe, I use it frequently and my laptop's have never flagged any virus. Using immunet and McAfee.

It's now running poorly even in one window, though it does appear intermittent. I'm using one window now to post this and I can hear my hard drive revving up, then slowing down (like something is running on the background!)

Might be my best option, but the last time I did that I noticed my new install was poorly done. See, my PC didn't come with startup discs, so I just downloaded stuff off the web to do my "reinstall" and think I did a poor job of installing everything my pc needed. (drivers incomplete)

I don't see Slimwares on my PC, and if I have it, I didn't DL it on purpose, never even heard of it.

run taskmanager to look at your internet explorer to see how much ram is being used.

I just noticed my PC was running with the AV (Micro security essentials) turned off! That might not be helping my cause....
