I have an un-modded Xbox that won't work. When I press the power button, it will come on for a brief second and then it beeps and shuts off. It does that 2 times and the third time it will stay on, but nothing will show up on the tv. Has any one esle encounterd this problem, and does any one know if it can be fixed? Any help or advice would be appreciated
could be a number of things, to be honest you can get parts real cheap on ebay now, and dependant on how old it is, yo umay just go get another used xbox. Or even a new ones ($150 I believe now) a repair would probably not be cost effective if you paid someone to do it, however if you are capable yourself, you can pick up an xbox motherboard etc, real cheap on ebay etc.
weird as it sounds, thats exactly what a MODDED xbox does if the chip isnt seating correctly, which leads me to think its the motherboard.
