    Wrong thread. Post moved.
By the way, a mpeg can become a VCD (Video CD) or a SVCD (Super Video CD) , and this must be decided by its reslution. Most of the stuff found in the net is enough represented well by a VCD).
    Read any tutorial in http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/
or, for VCD and KVCD, read the 'sticky' thread thet exist in this forum: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/110106 (VCD) or http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/124272 (KVCD).
Ah, the MPEG must match your system : PAL (Europe) or NTSC (US, Canada) are the most common. Otherwise you need to re-encode them (and this always can decrease the whole quality of the movie, alas).
Usually a modded PS2 can read them, but I never used it (it's tooo expensive with respect a DVD player, and risks to get 'fatigued' by them).
