I have a wireless linksys router installed, and I bout a wireless D-Link DWL-820 for use with my softmodded xbox. I set it up according to its guide, and it works fine with my desktop both static at 192.168.0.35 and DHCP.

But I cannot get the bastard to work with my xbox and Unleash X. wtf. Can anybody pease help me?

ok, so i am a bit confused here. You set up FTP correct, you know it works with both static and DHCP (how do you know if you can not connect to the xbox?)
Does your router have security enabled, i know my Linksys does.
If so you need to set up all that security information in the MS Dash network setings or it will never allow it to make a connection to the network. Same goes for the wireless adapter you have the xbox plugged into, it also needs to be set up with the security information.

And if you do not have security set up on a wireless system i suggest you do it ASAP or anyone within range can very easily use your connection. For example i just turn on my laptop and the wireless card will find any network in range, and tell me if it is secure or unsecure. I can not connect to secure networks with the security information, bu the unsecure i just click on it and am surfing in seconds. And that is just a stock Dell, nothing special.

Provide as much detailed info on what you did and how far along you got so people can help you out.

See if that will help. Basically you have to enter an IP Address in your PC's range, then fill in all the rest of the information as it appears on your PC connection.

    EXAMPLE:
    PC has
    192.168.1.100
    defualt Gateway 192.168.1.1
    subnet mask 255.255.255.0
    DNS #1 12.127.16.68
    DNS #2 12.127.16.69

    Xbox would be set up:
    192.168.1.105
All the rest you would input exactly like above, only the IP would be different.

Alright I tried it as Static and DHCP with no avail. HTTP Status 11002 or something like that.

I used my desktop to get a connection, and i used cmd to look at the settings.

    PC has
    192.168.1.105
    Gateway 192.168.1.1
    subnet mask 255.255.255.0
    DNS #1 192.168.254.254

i would then try the same settings for my xbox and i still got the same error. any other thoughs?

Are you running the PC and the Xbox at the same time? They can't have the same IP address...

They do not have the same IP. My PC has an internal wireless card the I disable to use the Access Point , and after I re-enabled it I checked its IP. it was .104 instead of .105. Besides I dried about six different numbers in the range of IP's Given
