I had to reformat my HD and then reinstalled Nero6. Now it won't recognize my DVD burner, only my CD drive. Funny thing is I can burn with DVD Shrink which uses Nero to burn (I think). But when I go to Recode or NERO ROM Burner the only option I have is disc image or my CD drive.
I searched for this in the forum and didn't come up with anything.

    Thanks,

Have you tried a firmware update for your burner

No. But why would that be needed if I'm able to burn with Shrink and all worked fine before the reinstall?

    2 reasons.

After the re-install, windows might not have installed your drive properly. If this is the case, then the firmware update could fix the issue.

You could also try to unplug your drives IDE cable, and then hooking it back in. This should "force" windows to see it again, and re-install the drive. Maybe correctly this time.

I had the same issue with my Samsung.
