    Hi benbernie
Yes Nero Vision will do this. Just the movie though not the menus.
If you're in an NTSC region now when you get to the last screen in Nero you'll get a popup saying something loosely like 'files are mostly in a pal format do you wish to keep this format' - click 'no' and Vision converts to NTSC.

Hmmm if these are dvd's I think you have to have a dvd burner installed for Vision to give you the option to make your own dvd.

If there just big enuf to fit on a cd then I would think you could. You would use the video cd option in Nero. I've never tried converting to NTSC w/ the cd option though.

You should be good to go then (unless I misunderstood the cd-rom bit)
I've done that quite a few times from DVD's oversees. Doesn't take as long when doing a this kind of conversion like is does say converting an avi.

    You're familiar with Vision right?
Pretty easy :) Though I don't know how you'd test it w/o a file in PAL format.
I have done this way quite a bit - I also have friends who buy dvd's off ebay that are in pal format.
If it has copy protection then rip to you hard drive 1st w/ something like DVDFab Decrypter or just run AnyDVD in the background w/ Vision.

Do just like you would for any other file in Vision - add video files. If you're reading from the disc itself then in location or shortcuts pick the video_ts folder for the drive the disc is in.
    Add all the vob files.
Hightlight all the vob files - in the bottom left corner click on the middle button to merge them together.
Do what you usually do - add menus etc.

In the last screen you'll get that pop up about pal format - just click no.

Nero does a 'tru' conversion to NTSC.

Here's a 'masking' method with the free VobBlanker that usually works for most dvd players. I used this way too - much faster.

    You're welcome
    Here's a guide for Vision & avi's - link.
This will give you a good basis.
You'll just be adding vob files and merging them instead of AVI's.

If you have a dvd laying around or one on the hard drive - just play around a bit w/ Nero until you get the PAL DVD's.
Won't be able to test the conversion bit but will show you around :)

You can always post back with any questions too.

Give vobblanker a try too - takes like 5 mins compared to say 1 hr for Vision (depends on pc specs). I've had only 1 out of 5 or 6 players that won't play the disc using the vobblanker way.

    edit: spelling per usual :)

Glad th hear the conversion worked out!

Now for the YouTube bit can't be of much help there. Never uploaded a video there but I would think they would have a faq section on the site to explain how to do it.
