   Is it normal that dvd+r/rw labeled as 4.7 gb can be seen by Nero as discs with total capacity ~4400 mb? DVD+R writer: Nec ND-1100A

   That is correct. A DVD+R (Or -R) holds 4.7 billion bytes. Which is really only aboy 4.36 GB, or 4430 megabytes.
