when reading through all the different threads i keep hearing all different types of nero mentioned... only just started burning dvds and finally getting there with all your help but what nero should i be using? ive got nero loaded in but only basic copy i think. are they all the same or do they work differently? better/worse. the copy i use just has a nero startsmart on the desk top.
Hi Paul5619, I would think that most people would respond to this with, 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it', meaning if your not haveing any problems, leave well enough alone. ;-) But to really respond, I think we would need to know what version you are currently working with. If you have Nero StartSmart on your Desktop, then you have Nero 6. To determine what version of Nero 6 you have, just launch the Nero StartSmart and in the top of this window click on the NERO Icon. This will take you to the Nero Product Center and here it will list what versions of Nero you have. Just let us know what version you have, and then I'm sure others can comment to your question. Hi Paul, The Nero Burning ROM is a more advanced user interface for Nero, it allows you more control, but can be more confusing for the beginner. Nero Express is the more user freindly interface. SE stands for limited version, so you have a limited version of Nero Burning ROM, and this would indicate you have an OEM version of Nero that came with your recorder, more than likely a Sony Recorder. If you ever run into any problems, you should at least upgrade to Nero 6.3.1.25 from our website located under Download->Previous Versions. If you feel adventurous, you can always upgrade to Nero 6.6.0.1 and NVE3014 As to if you should upgrade to Nero 6.6, I'll let others on this forum respond to that. Regards, Craig Ahead Software USA
