Hope I'm in the right place and that someone can help.

I have just networked one PC to another so I can use one as a machine to back up my films leaving the other so we can use the internet.

I am using XP and have a crossover cable and everything is setup, the problem I am having is I want to use the second PC from the first pc's desktop. I basicaly want to use the two PC's off one screen.

I can share the second PC's folders but I want to use all of the computer, is this possible and did I make any sense?

    Many thanks

    Rob

    Hey Rob!

The easiest way to access a machine from another is use remote desktop.
    To do this.......

    1. Start
    2. right click My Computer
    3. Properties
    4. Remote
    5. Check 'Allow Users to Connect Remotely'

Read the tutorial. If you are running XP it is already installed.

    Click the 'Select Remote Users'
    Click 'Add'
    Enter Account Names

You have to setup the remote on the machine that you WANT to access remotely.

If you want to take advantage of ICS (internet connection sharing)it gets slightly more complicated.
