I have a problem with my dbox2 Sportster Pro 1.7 uk, whereby when I browse channels I only get audio and no visual.
I have to toggle between channel that has both to get visual and sound.
It seems to be random as well so there is no pattern, and it doesnt happen on all channels.

Has anyone experienced this problem before, and if so how did they fix it ?

Thanks in advance for any help/advice..

Most people will just reflash , rather than go down every root to figure what the problem is. So id recommend a reflash , do you know how to do that? . If not the website in my sig has guides and all the latest files you need. Just have to sign up.

Thanks - yes I have information on how to reflash.
I am a little reluctant to try this as I dont know if it will fix the problem.

    Thanks away...

Reflash won't prob change it - I have this prob with this image and other images on my Sagem 2x. I haven't figured it out yet.

I dont seem to have any other issues with this image, and from monitoring this forum I seem to be quite lucky.
Hence the reason why I am hesitating on reflashing. I guess I will have to try and see.
I always shutdown my dbox when not in use (ie I dont power off, or use standby) and the LCD display is always off.

Do you think it could be related to updating ucodes or something?

Are u connectected via a digital splitter? also how long is the cable wire?

check them first before reflashing...just thought the image might be to heavy, do you have it packed with alot of plugins and extras?

Yes the signal is split using a digital splitter and the cables are between 1-2m long.
I dont have any extras or plugins installed.

Ahhh...Are you thinking that I might have a crap splitter or poor cables?

Yup could have a poor splitter or the connector bits on the end of the wire might not be correctly attached.

I know this was the case for me as I added the connectors on to the wire myself...did a poor job of it.

    do abit of tweaking

Simply try ucode version 001A and reboot your box.
Some boxes are only willing to work with 001A.

Changing the Ucode to 001A seems to have worked for now, but I will have to monitor it to see if it reoccurs.

I had actually changed the ucode previously to help with a freezing picture issue, which I found in this forum.

Seems to be OK for now...thanks for all your help guys I owe you a beer !
