The past few times when burning a dvd a box will pop up and ask it i would like to change the encodeing from Ntsc to Pal to match the settings I guess with Nero. what do they mean? I selected yes the movie turned out ok and would only play on our cheap dvd player and not the higher end one. I just wondered what the encodes were and if I can do something about that???

    Cuba21 thanks I'm new

    Hi cuba21
    Welcome to aD
Nero will give this message when the format of the file doesn't match the format of the region that your in. So click No instead. It will then convert the files to the region you are in.
Sounds like you're in an NTSC (US, Canada) region and format of the file is in PAL.

NTSC and PAL are your TV format. NTSC is the USA and a few other countries whereas PAL is Australia and the pacific countries. It determines where you reside as to which you select.

@binkie7, gee we're clever...posting at the same time...same info too!! Cheers.
