    My opinion is always use 2 cds per encode not 1.
    The screenshots are at the bottom or middle of that page I posted.
    Yes u use the latest version of avisynth with a conjuction of Kwags optimal KVCD script ,tmpgenc & the kvcd modified templates + CQMATIC & CALCUMATIC both those applications must be used in order to find the CQ for a movie to fit to CD/DVD/2CD'S OR 3 movies to 1 dvd ect
    P.S. THE xvid codec must be installed as a handler & directshow in tmpgenc must be unchecked.
    Also DVD2avi 1.77.3 or DGmpgDec must be used first
    (note with DGmpgDec u have to enter time manually in calcumatic because IT WONT OPEN FILES FROM DGmpgDec

    OK I found the link that wasn't writen in http:// form. I modified it for you..
    Yes I understand, now. The problm is finding a good CQ value in order to fit your number of CDs (1 CD-R for KVCD 352x288, 2 for more advanced formats).
    Now Im turning on the 'opposite side'. I'm using CalcuMatic (http://www.kvcd.net/CalcuMatic.exe )and CQMatic (http://www.kvcd.net/CQMatic-1.2.06.exe )and I've seen that the rsults depend alot upon the video's type. For instance, a fast motion 2h movie on a CD-R gives a too low value of CQ to make KVCD to fit on it. A slow-motion movie long 1h 30' gives a CQ value rather high (over 80) and gives good results.
    Therefore, the poll result changes in this way:

    We like KVCDs.............We don't like KVCDs
    ================================
    6................................................2

    The KVCD FAQs http://www.kvcd.net/portal/faq.php?lng=en [Q.11 and Q.14] say that 352x288/240 a good threshold is about 74.
    This fact might discriminate about the use of 1 or more CDs.
    Feel free to test it...

    KVCD kick the arse off VCd's check out any release by a group known as TUS who specialise in kvcd conversions, these are awesome for 1 cd < 800 mb movies often giving divx/xvid a run for its money but playable in the majority of dvd players
