PAL to NTSC = lose 5.1?

    I just converted a movie from PAL to NTSC, but the result is a 2ch audio. Is this normal when converting from one format to another?

    that for a dvd?

    Sorry, yes a dvd movie. Original is PAL 5.1, when converted it's NTSC but only 2 ch audio.

    what program did you use to do the converting? the audio should not have changed, you might try convertxtodvd to do your conversion
