hello, i had gone thru two power supplys on my pc and wondered if the motherboard could be causing this?
i have an apc backup that seems to be working fine, and i checked the power cable on the pc. i hate to get another one and burn it up too, the only other thing i can think of is when the first power supply went , i was change the thermostat on my oven and shorted it out then the first power supply smelled burned up and the pc wouldn't power up i get a new one that day and its been two weeks since and now this one is dead, it just has me stumped?
any body got any ideas? thanks SS69

it is possible that apc might?? be causing the problem. you could try another motherboard & see what happens but disconnect the apc unit for a couple of weeks

i thought that too and will disconnect it, i have my lcd monitor on the backup supply and that still works.
i might upgrad the MOBO too and see if that solve it..
