can i ask how i can play dvd's on my xbox after i have installed a mod chip, i have an executer2 chip and evolutionx dashboard. when i place a dvd in the drive it reads it as "video" then when i hit "launch dvd" it goes to the loading screen, then back to the dashboard menu without playing the dvd.

Get DVDX and install it on your Xbox. It's a region-free DVD player and no need for the MS DVD Kit.

Eurasia.nu has all the applications. Register first then go to the download section.

if you already have transferred the "default.xbe" file for dvdx to your xbox there is no need to 'install' it as you would in a windows computer. All you have to do is edit the evox.ini file to point to that file in it's menu structure. There are a lot of guides out there on how to edit this file.

You can always get rid of EvoX and use a dash that has a built in DVD playback/controls.

The reason i asked about using dvdx, and the recently installed XBMC which works good also, is when i disable the mod chip and switch on the xbox i get an error page (16) can i use the xbox with the chip disabled, if so what do i do to the evox.ini settings?
