Im new, I really dont wanna learn all of this stuff, and Im having a horrible week. Could someone please tell me Why when i burn a downloaded dvd (or divx file I have no idea) onto a cd-r, and I put it in my dvd player, it gives me a message saying the disc might not have a playback feature available.

Most home stand alone dvd players can't play DivX format. Look on your dvd player and see what format it will play (VCD, SVCD). Also, look on your remote control and see if you can locate a "PBC" function. If there is, then your dvd player will play SVCD format.

You can play the DivX (AVI) movie you burned on your pc m8.

You can convert to VCD or SVCD m8.

Did you download DivX 5.x codec?
