Yeah if IFa works you should see it straight away after the lade screen. So im assuming you have got something not set up right perhaps. Have you set your ip? Do you have any idea exactly which image it is so perhaps i could try get you the default ip for your box . Have you disabled your firewall , antivirus ect.

have you followed any IFA guide ? if so which 1

The image that was on the box was tardis (I've tried reloading that as well as The Dons Specialist and Sporster)

    I can't access that guide - I get the 404 error.

I don't know the IP of the box but I took one from the network connections tab and tried pinging it through the cmd, and it seemed to work (but then it also seemed to work when I unplugged it, so I guess that's not reliable...)

I've disabled all the antivirus and firewall, and disabled the other network connections.

I agree something isn't set up correct but what?!?

Thanks for that mate but it's still not working

I think the problem is the IP address?

If I double click the Local Area Connection icon in Network Connections, the IP address is 192.168.2.202

When I try to flash it doesn't work, and when I check the DBox-Boot v3.2.0 354 tab the IP address is 192.168.2.203? Also, in the bottom right of that screen it says "Pinging DBoxII...failed!"

    Is this significant?

Yeah, but I had the same problem.

When you say "set the ip of the pc" do you mean in the properties of the TCP/IP tab on network connections?

If so I done that, yes.

I reset it to 192.168.3.10, and the sub net to 255.255.255.0

The IP address in IFA though is 192.168.2.202 ? I didn't enter that - it's prepopulated.

Is this the problem do you think?

No that shouldnt matter. Try changing your pc ip to

    ip - 192.168.2.203
subnet- same as you have it now
    default gateway- 192.168.0.1

if you are using a cross over cable to connect to dbox dont worry about the dbox, as the network packets wont be going outside of the network as such and will only go between the laptop/desktop and dbox over the cross over cable
