problem making snapshot using paint

    Hello
    I have never used paint before and i downloaded a guide to make a snapshot of a folder containing my dvd files so i can turn it into a bitmap! All is fine until i press ALT PRINTSCREEN As it then opens powerpoint!! I am using a keyboard called my office.Can anyone tell me another way to do this please.

    To do I screen dump - you press CTRL+PRINT SCRN...

    This puts it onto the clipboard.

    Go into paint and just paste it in, you can then edit etc.....

    Not really a question for the dvdr newbie forum, but none the less.....

    Thanks for the reply and sorry it's on the wrong forum. I did what you said but it will not paste (past is greyed out and ctrl v does nothing) Can you tell me where to post please.

    It won't work if you just open and paint then paste.....

    You just need to click on an icon on the left hand side (any icon) then paste.....

    Better off in the safety valve I think....

    A Mod may move it
