So I have currently got my PS3 hooked up to a Samsung SM2333HD and I have turned the sharpness all the way down but I still cant get a decent picture.

Whenever I look at the PS3 games hooked up to a HDTV in store (e.g. HMV) the games always look smooth and anti-aliased.

When I play PS3 games on a 16:9 monitor OR TV (LE26R51BD) the graphics look slightly washed out and with dreadful aliasing.

What on Earth is going on? How are the shop TVs capable of producing such a great picture at 720p and yet both my TV and monitor can't do the same?!

Maybe they are running on Composite cable.. Have u asked?..This could explain the smooth image..Then again it depends on the tv..Some tv's when converted to hdmi, become a bit harsh and sharp..
