    Hi,

I [bold]JUST WANT TO BE SURE[/b] about something.

I have video material that was recorded on Mini DV tape using 3-ccd camera. If I now use 1-ccd camera to transfer the footage to HDD, will quality of the picture be equal to 3-ccd or 1-ccd? Is number of camera's resolution lines also an issue when it comes to playback? What problems may arise with sound?

    Thanks

When talking about CCDs and horitzontal resolution, you're talking about the capture functions of the camera. Viewing 3CCD video on the vcr of a 1CCD camera has no affect on the video quality. Same for audio.

Great! If that's true, then it's safe to transfer high quality material to HDD via low quality device.

    Thanks
