   I'm new to burning movies or copying them to DVD's. I just wanted to know what's the typical amount of time for burning a movie to a DVD, typically from your hard drive?
   
   
   I just burnt a movie to a DVD and the estimated time was 1 hour and 43 mins.
   
   If this is too long what do I need to do to lower my estimated times?

   1) System specs ... O/S, processor, RAM
   
   2) What are you doing? Backing up dvd's or burning your own compilation?
