So, I could really use some help with Relax and XBMP. I've got Relax setup as a service and everything works fine except that when I go to make changes to my shares in Relax they won't stay. I'll go in and add a new song or delte a share or whatever and then I save configuration and when I go to my shares in XBMP everything is still the same as before I made any changes.

Sorry, for wasting your time. I'm an idiot. All I wasn't stopping the service before making changes. All good now.

could you help me out, i am trying to get relax to work, but when i power on xbmp i get an error message stating cannot locate file. i have the config.xml on the root directory. the following are clips of my config file, can you take a look and see if everything is set properly? is there a way to change the default port of 1400 on the xbmp for when it searches for streaming media? or do you just add that to the config.xml file after the ip address of the relax server?

Are you saying that you can't do anything with XBMP at all? Or that when you go to play something you just get an error message?

thanks for your interest, i got relax working with xbmp. i do have one more quick question, i want to place thumbnails for all the items on my menu. do the thumbnails have to be placed in the thumbnails/thumbs directory? and they have to be named the same as the item it represents correct? also, i want to have a thumbnail that will allow me to launch evox, but where exactly is evox's xbe file located? would it be c:\evox.ini or what?

The following is an excerpt from the XBMP Manual...

"Make a 64x64 JPG image and rename it to filename.tbn or foldername.tbn.
In My Pictures, selecting “Generate Thumbnails” will make a proper TBN file out of every picture
    in the folder.
If a TBN is supplied for a folder, all the files inside the folder will have the same TBN unless a
specific TBN is supplied per archive."

That's all I know. Judging from the picture it looks like they are just with the rest of the stuff. Maybe on the hard drive though. Just mess around trying to get one to work and you'll figure it out.

As for the Evox thing, it should be in C:/ and then whatever your bios looks for .xbe. For instance, if you have the 4976.02 it would likely be C:/evoxdash.xbe.
