    Hi all,

I've got a problem with my cd-audio burner.

Any backup copies I make have a burst of two pulses of white-noise every 5 or 6 seconds apart something like.....hiss.hiss.....hiss.hiss.......hiss.hiss you get the idea!!!

Anyone got any thoughts of what is causing this and maybe how to stop it.

PS the original does not have the hiss.hiss in it!

what program are you using to make the copy? have you tried using another program? also, the CD might be copyrighted. check out the sticky at the top of the audio forum about copying protected CDs.

If the noise happens every couple of secounds, your Soure disc must be copy protected. If its ilregular then it could be your burner.

How many discs have you tried to burn?

Thanx for the help - the cd was copy-protected.

Using clonyxxx and alcohol120% got around it.

    Thanx again.
