Searching for ElbyVCD.dll........

I can't find these to files ElbyVCD.dll and ELBYVCD.sys i've done as shoey said

but when i go into the start menu and click on run and type in search files it says to use the normal serch thing. so what do i type exactly to veiw the registry?

 

also this might sound really dumb but how do i start in safe mode?
