Hey I use skype all the time. There are obvious pros like being able to call any computer in the world for free, and instant messaging, several person conference calls and,chats. But my favorite aspect is that file tranfer. so quick and so direct 100x better than e-mail. Skype rocks.
I have now being using this since april 10th. I can see the pro's for it but where you say the file transfer is faster than email i would have to disagree.The file transfer for mirc is much faster the what i get on skype.A 1 meg file takes about 40mins to upload.
