hey everyone... my dru500a is burning cd-r's super slow. its taking at least an hour to burn a full cd-r (memorex), which isn't right at all since this drive has a burn speed of 24x. i had win98 installed before and it burned a full cd in about 4 minutes, but now i have xp pro and it takes about 1 hour. i tried installing an aspi layer to see if that would help, but that didn't at all. it doesnt matter what burning program i use, its the same with them all...nero, fireburner, recordnow, etc.. i tried the new 2.0 firmware and still nothing.. i'm stumped and i was searching the messages on here and couldnt find anything related to it, so it doesnt sound like a problem for other people except me. any ideas?
