Hi there, I'm trying to split a 1,5 Gb xVid movie into two parts. Unfortunately neither VirtualDub nor NanDub are able to open the file correctly. And yes, I do have the newest xVid codec installed and I can also watch the movie... So, I tried a few other (freeware/shareware) tools like sid video cutter, XVideoConverter, Easy Movie Splitter or Video Slice. So far Video Slice was the only one which could handle the file and create two working output files. However it recoded the whole movie thus losing a lot of image quality. So now I ask, is there any other program you can recommend to split the file at a key frame (not recoding it)? Or is there a possibility to recode it without losing quality or increasing file size? Thanks in advance!
sharity: I don't have any problems splitting with nandub. As for virtualdub, try virtualdubmod which is a unification of several different versions of VD.
