Hi folks my name is David. I read your rules and as far as I can tell this question doesn't fall into the realm of your piracy rules, so here goes. I have a .tar I need to burn to DVD in such a fashion that my Xbox will be able to read it. How do I go about this? And what is a .tar? Is it an archive like .rar or a disc image like .iso? Thanks David
.tar is like .rar so you'll need WinRAR to extract for the .iso file. If it's in .iso, it's probably set to be burn onto a disc. So just use Nero and do an image burn.
and will my xbox need to be mod-chipped to play that disk? and what if it's in .bin .cue form instead of iso can I still just burn the image with nero? thanks
Yes you will need to have a modded Xbox in order to play the burnt games. .iso format is generally DVD-based rip. .bin/.cue format is CD-based rip. You can burn the .bin/.cue by doing an image burn, load the .cue and burn. For .iso, do an image burn and load the .iso file and burn.
