    Hi all,

First post, I was hoping you could shed some light on something for me.

    I have a new i5 Ivy bridge 16gb ram and a radeon 6800 -

HD video from a Blu ray rip outputs horrifically in windows media player both in terms of quality and stuttering playback - VlC on the other hand is flawless

I'd ideally like to use media player because of its integration with mediacenter/my movies

Ive updated codes with coreAV and tried ffdshow still rubbish output

Sorry if im missing something that has been answered before

    Any help gratefully recieved

WMP does not support blu ray as a standalone product. I use TotalMedia Theatre 3.

eHow.com claims that if you install TMT 3, then WMP will be able to play blu ray. I just tried WMP with one of my blu ray discs. It did NOT play that format as eHow claims.

Get a good software package that DOES support blu ray.
